I have a passion for materials chemistry, specifically in the design, synthesis and characterization of molecular and polymeric materials. With years of experience conducting collaborative research in a multidisciplinary environment, I am eager to apply my skillset to industries across Ontario. My academic background is deep rooted in developing redox-active dyes based on organic and inorganic/main-group building blocks. I have extensive experience with characterization techniques including NMR, TGA, DSC, FT-IR, GPC, UV-Vis absorption and emission spectroscopy, and electrochemistry (CV). My industrial experience in R&D has allowed me to gain experience with nanomaterials, formulation, and thin-film coating. I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys delivering presentations and public speaking. I have a passion for teaching and have supervised junior researchers in the laboratory, where safety is a top priority. I also have a strong passion for science communication and outreach in communities, especially when it comes to engaging the future generation of scientists.
