As a Tax Specialist I am responsible for preparing tax returns, organizing tax payments and tax account reconciliations, providing business support and responding to inquiries from Tax Authorities, tax audits, internal requests and I participated in tax compliance improvement projects.Some of the functions are:- Collection, preparation, and analysis of financial data, legal documents, and other relevant info required for local tax filings/tax audits and any other statutory requirements;- Preparing tax returns, schedules, and workpapers;- Provide/prepare documents supporting the transactional data;- Prepare tax reconciliations, including monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations before the return is filed;- Completion of tax tools as part of preparation and review of provision and compliance;- Upload/submit the final tax return and support to tax compliance tracking system;- Assist with all tax operational matters and identify any compliance issues;- Provide audit support and responses as required.The skills developed were:- carrying out knowledge transfer (by creating backup and task description reports);- creation of procedures and process flows;- deepening knowledge of indirect taxes, namely VAT (Value Added Tax).

Fuller is a renowned company in the chemical industry, being recognized as one of the world leaders in the supply of adhesives, glues and other chemical specialties.The Tax Trainee essentially covers the EIMEA zone (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) and is responsible to support effectively and efficiently all operations related with global tax issues (Income tax, VAT and property tax).Some of the functions are:- Assess direct/indirect tax treatment of multiple business transactions;- Ensure proper VAT Treatment of business transactions on a monthly basis;- Monthly tax accounts reconciliations;- Cross-checking of information on VAT returns/Accounting/Statistic information (Intrastat);- Carry out tax research and summarize the findings;- Supporting Customer Service in the setup of new customers;- Supporting the preparation of the CIT returns and ensure timely submission timely and respective Tax-related entries;- Support Tax/VAT Audits in EIMEA countries;- Support the preparation of Tax and Financial incentives;- Provide tax processing/compiling/administration support to other members of the Tax team outside of the EIMEA region;- Direct contact with Accounts Payable and Accounting to Report team on ongoing questions;- Detect and implementing Tax-related improvements (on systems, reporting tools, accounting procedures, VAT-inefficient transactions, etc.);- Support and implementation of projects (SAP, extension of business model);- Contribute to the development of a group tax strategy;- Maintain and up-date Tax records and other appropriate records.Here I was able to develop my skills of:- analyze and solve problems (in addition to analytics and critical thinking);- extract, analyze and review data, suggesting improvements;- write and summarize reports and query.
