Managed strategic M&A and organic growth, among various special projects, leading to significant AUM increase. Played a key role as part of a three-person team.● Strategic M&A: Identified, evaluated, and executed strategic M&A / GP stakes opportunities. Representative Transactions: o Oaktree’s acquisition of 17Capital: Majority stake in NAV-financing manager, adding $9 bn in AUM. o Brookfield’s acquisition of Oaktree: Sale of majority stake, creating one of the largest alternative asset managers globally with $475 bn in AUM. o Oaktree’s partnership with Singular Asset Management: Seed investment in exclusive placement agent and start-up manager. o Oaktree’s acquisition of Fifth Street’s BDCs: Acquisition and posterior merger of two public BDCs (~$3 bn AUM, now OCSL). Later merged with a private BDC.● Organic Growth & Product Development: Developed business plans and recommendations for existing and new strategies. Representative new products: senior direct lending fund, life sciences lending fund, interval fund, non-traded REIT, SPAC, CLO equity, continuation funds.

Strategy & Corporate Development

Primaries, Secondaries, Co-Investments and Private Debt | Investments in PE funds and PE-backed companies across venture, growth, buyout, and special situations; in North America, Europe, and Latam.● Deal Execution: Conducted financial modeling, due diligence, and industry research to support investment decision-making and transaction structuring.● Portfolio Management: Monitored and analyzed performance metrics of portfolio companies. Prepared quarterly valuations and client reporting.● Market Analysis & Sourcing: Assisted in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities through relationships, market research, and initial deal screening.

Cross-Border M&A Advisory (M&A, Debt and Equity Capital Markets).● Advised U.S. and Latin American companies on strategic and financial decisions regarding M&A and capital raising, contributing to +$7 bn in closed deal volume. - Sectors: energy, mining, chemicals, O&G, consumer, retail, telecom, healthcare, real estate, and infrastructure.● Prepared financial / operational models, valuations and projections for acquisitions and financing options.● Created management and board presentations, plus other deal-related marketing materials.
