A procurement expert - currently leading a team of procurement professionals at Rio Tinto's Yarwun Alumina Refinery and Boyne Smelter in Central Queensland. My extensive experience includes sectors such as construction, defence, government and mining. Specific project experience includes:~ Western Basin Dredging and Disposal Project for Gladstone Ports Corporation assisting on both the head contract and managing a series of sub contracts and;~ Air Warfare Destroyer project for ASC Pty Ltd delivering new fleet of naval ships to the Royal Australian Navy. I am confident in the end to end procurement process and all aspects of contract administration/management; having exceptional communication skills I am able to build successful relationships with contractors, suppliers and senior managers. A highly organised individual, I take pride in my work, enjoy working autonomously, within a team and also thrive as a leader. Most recently, I successfully completed a Bachelor of Laws at Queensland University of Technology and also achieved a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Management and Human Resource Management) from Monash University. In addition to this I also completed Applied Project Management and Contract Management courses through the Australian Institute of Management. I hold a current first aid certification and a construction induction (white card).
