We empower professionals, small businesses, creators, and students by putting AI in their hands. Our microapps tackle pain points in productivity, marketing, design, analytics and more. In just over a year, we have built a huge catalog of AI microapps, with over 25,000 monthly active users. But this is just the beginning. My goal is to expand our platform into new verticals and geographies, onboard more microapp developers, and continually enhance our AI capabilities. "How did you go from co-founding a small startup in Brazil to building a Boston based company?"It's a question I get asked a lot.And the answer is simple: by staying true to my vision of connecting top-tier Latin American talent with innovative companies around the world. You see, back in 2012 when we started TeamRio, the goal was to give talented developers in Brazil a chance to work on exciting projects with international clients. We hustled, knocked on doors (virtually), and slowly but surely built a reputation for delivering quality work.Fast forward to 2017, and we had a thriving business with a network of amazing developers. But I knew we could do more.One day, I was watching TV, and I saw an announcement about a jazz trio performance. The word "trio" struck me as perfect. It cleverly combined "T" from "team" and "RIO" from "Rio de Janeiro." But beyond that, "Trio" was simple, memorable, and universally understood.That's when the idea for Trio was born - a company that would not only connect developers with clients but also provide the support and infrastructure to help them succeed.So in 2018, I made the leap from co-founder to CEO and launched Trio in the Greater Boston Area.Every day, I get to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry and help companies bring their vision to life.And the best part? I get to do it while staying true to my roots and empowering talented individuals in Latin America.So, while the title may have changed from "Co-Founder" to "CEO," the mission remains the same: to build great software and create opportunities for people to thrive, no matter where they are in the world.

Back in 2012, I had this crazy idea:What if we could connect the best freelance developers from Latin America with companies who needed their skills?And not just any developers, but the cream of the crop.The ones who could build apps that would make your head spin.So, I co-founded TeamRio with a mission:To assemble the perfect team for each project, no matter what it took.And boy, did we deliver.Our developers were so good, companies kept coming back for more.But here's the thing:We didn't just want to be another outsourcing company.We wanted to be partners.That's why we made sure our project managers were based in the U.S.So whenever our clients needed us, we were just a phone call away.No time zone differences, no communication barriers.Over the next 6 years, we built TeamRio into a powerhouse.We worked with companies of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 500s.And along the way, I learned a thing or two about what it takes to build a successful business.But more importantly, I learned that sometimes, the craziest ideas are the ones that change everything.And that's a lesson I carry with me to this day.

"Will coding make me a better CEO?"I'm glad you asked.You see, being a developer taught me more than just how to write clean code. It taught me how to think like a problem-solver, how to break down complex issues into manageable pieces, and how to collaborate with a team towards a common goal.And when I finally made the leap to becoming a CEO, those skills became invaluable.Now, instead of solving coding problems, I'm solving business problems. Instead of collaborating with a team of developers, I'm collaborating with a team of executives, investors, and customers.But the principles remain the same.So, while on the surface, coding may not seem like it has much to do with being a CEO - It has everything to do with being a great leader.And I wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the world.

Back in 2007, when I was just starting my journey as a Senior Systems Analyst at M2sys in Brazil, I had no idea that those 5 years would shape my career trajectory in such a profound way. It was there, in the heart of Curitiba, where I tried my hands on mobile app development for iOS. Long days turned into even longer nights as I worked tirelessly on prototypes, pouring over every line of code. But it wasn't just about the coding. I had to wear many hats - analyzing system requirements, designing robust database structures, testing, implementing, you name it. And let's not forget the countless hours spent collaborating with designers and programmers, figuring out UI flows and setting aggressive timelines.The exposure I got to various technologies was immense - ASP.NET, C#, Objective-C. Little did I know that this versatility would serve me so well down the line.Looking back, those years at M2sys were transformative. The grit, the growth mindset, the ability to juggle complex system demands - these are the things that shaped me. These are the experiences I still draw upon today, even as a CEO.So while my current role may seem worlds apart from those early days, in many ways, it's a culmination of the journey that started in a little corner of Brazil, with a driven Systems Analyst hungry to make his mark.

Some may wonder what ASP, C# and VB.NET have to do with being a CEO. As it turns out, quite a bit!Back in my Systems Analyst days at Rosch, I spent countless hours poring over code - designing, testing, documenting, troubleshooting. Little did I know those long nights hunched over a keyboard were laying the foundation for my future as a tech leader.You see, being an analyst taught me to:- Dissect complex systems into manageable components- Foresee potential issues and plan ahead - Adapt on the fly when unexpected errors popped up- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver working solutions- Persist through challenging problems with patience and tenacityWhile the languages and tools have evolved, those core competencies are the same ones I leverage daily as Trio & Microapp's CEO. Only now, instead of optimizing code, I'm strategizing how to scale our platform, foster our talent, and exceed our customers' expectations.The countless hours spent testing and re-testing have instilled a disciplined, process-oriented mindset. The experience liaising between technical and business stakeholders has honed my communication skills. And grappling with stubborn bugs has strengthened my perseverance for tackling thorny business challenges.So while on the surface, Systems Analyst may seem an unlikely stepping stone to Chief Executive - upon closer examination, it provided the ideal training ground. Those formative years set the stage for the leader I've become, equipping me with both the technical acumen and transferable skills to captain Microapp's ship.
