The year was 2012. I had spent 8+ years in the world of tech. But something was missing. I was itching to break free from the shackles of corporate bureaucracy. I longed to build products that solved real problems for real people. So I took the leap. With a couple of friends, we co-founded Team Rio - a startup on a mission to connect the best freelance developers from Latin America with companies who needed their skills. We partnered remotely with companies to tackle their tech challenges with our decades of combined experience. The joy of creating opportunities was thrilling.In 2018, I made the leap from co-founder to CEO and launched Trio in the Greater Boston Area.Trio was based on the roots of Team Rio - only bigger and better. Everyday, I get to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry And help companies bring their vision to life.And the best part? I get to do it while staying true to my roots and empowering talented individuals in Latin America.Last year, I found the next big problem to solve.I saw how inaccessible AI was for most people and companies. The learning curves, the data science - it was slow to adopt. My inner problem-solver kicked in. I founded Microapp to democratize AI. Our vision? A marketplace of microapps - bite-sized AI tools for automating tasks with one click. No complex setup needed.As CEO, I lead Microapp's meteoric growth. We've built a catalog of over 50 AI microapps for marketing, design, analytics and more. We have over 25,000 satisfied users in just one year!But this is just the beginning. My goal now? To expand globally and into new verticals. To keep enhancing our AI capabilities. And above all, to stay true to our mission of making AI accessible for all.The road from corporate engineer to startup founder has been an exhilarating ride. It was there, in the heart of Curitiba, where I tried my hands on mobile app development for iOS. Long days turned into even longer nights as I worked tirelessly on prototypes, pouring over every line of code. But it wasn't just about the coding. I had to wear many hats - analyzing system requirements, designing robust database structures, testing, implementing, you name it. And let's not forget the countless hours spent collaborating with designers and programmers, figuring out UI flows and setting aggressive timelines.The exposure I got to various technologies was immense - ASP.NET, C#, Objective-C. As it turns out, quite a bit!Back in my Systems Analyst days at Rosch, I spent countless hours poring over code - designing, testing, documenting, troubleshooting.
