I passionately believe that cybersecurity is necessary for companies to survive in the modern technological climate. As a programmer and trained information security auditor, I am committed to advancing the field of cybersecurity by reducing risk, promoting cybersecurity awareness, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, and creating input validation code.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬When I was a child, I used to love designing maps in various real-time and turn-based strategy games. I would attempt to assemble impenetrable defenses and then let my friends try to break through them. Each time that they succeeded, I used those lessons to improve the defenses for the next time until I could repel their assaults every time. Now that I have entered the workforce, I have transformed this childhood passion into a way to protect people's livelihoods and personal data.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬I currently hold 13 certificates that cover Information Technology, Network Principles, Cybersecurity, Programming, and Microsoft Office. I fully intend on doubling that number in the near future.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬I have won or performed well in multiple competitions related to penetration testing, programming, project management, and digital marketing.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬I have experience working in Python, C, C++, Java, Bash, Gawk, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP. In addition, I have spent the past 10 years pursuing various IT-related topics. This has given me a large amount of experience with computers in a vast array of fields from website design to penetration testing and even game development. This experience makes me well-suited for the interdisciplinary nature of cybersecurity which interacts with and protects every department of an organization.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬I am a team player that is comfortable with the Waterfall and Agile methodologies, along with various version control tools like Git. As part of this, I have experience testing and debugging programs to determine functionality and identify security vulnerabilities.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬I have experience using AWS and its apps, like Amplify.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬For those who are curious, the emoji in my LinkedIn name functions as a canary token.
