As a Cloud Operations Manager, I can best describe my job like Scotty in Star Trek, Captain Kirk always wants more out of the engines and there’s no more to give. Well, maybe not quite! The cloud always has more computers, but living in production certainly makes warp core engineering look fun. Beginning as software engineer working with Java, JavaScript and databases and making significant overall changes like static code analysis, dependency scanning and better code coverage. Before cloud operations was a popularized job sector, I was promoted to Cloud operations manager and have since modernized iGrafx cloud infrastructure and improved many components of the iGrafx product suite on a global scale. As a cofounder of SparkBytes, I create customized application for companies to automate time-consuming processes. Web app development using CSS, HTML, PHP, and SQL as well as desktop applications using C# and WPF using the MVVM paradigm for gathering data for various IOT technologies using ADB and DFU utils. Released the tool to various individuals to collect the data, then analyzed it for debugging purposes. Also developed application to control humanoid robots for demo purposes on stage, or at high profile events. Created application to communicate over wifi using nodejs, socket.io and javascript/HTML for tablet. Designed and developed javascript API to expose low level C++ code to control robot over a web browser. Released code to open source community for continued development.
