Growing up, my goal was always to make a positive impact on the world. What started off as a goal of being a veterinarian turned into wanting to become a doctor turned into eventually deciding that chemical engineering was where I wanted to land. Until I didn't. There was no ounce of me wanting to switch out of my engineering program in university when I had already gotten so far (plus I really loved all the process optimization and materials classes). After finishing with school, I had to take a long hard look at where I wanted to go. And I went back to wanting to find something where I could make a positive impact on the world.I've since ended up in the software and technology space. Its a place that constantly challenges my brain and also provides me with a platform to implement process, optimize business, brainstorm with peers, manage teams, and feel fancy when I recall what an acronym actually stands for. I continue to leverage my passion for combining my technical and people-focused background to work alongside others towards a common goal... making an impact.
