Currently IP Litigation Counsel at Newman Jones where I represent clients in complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. I also represent patent owners in post-grant proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining my current firm, I spent nearly a decade as corporate IP counsel for a large multinational semiconductor company. In that role, I represented my client in a variety of legal matters, including: IP portfolio development, patent prosecution, intellectual property litigation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, data privacy, information security, enterprise risk management, taxation and transfer pricing, joint development projects, and technology licensing. During that time, I also became a Certified Information Privacy Professional through the IAPP.I attended Arizona State University where I earned both my MBA and Juris Doctor degrees. Prior to attending business and law school, I received a B.S. in Applied Physics from Brigham Young University where I focused my studies on computational physics and semiconductor modeling. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable technical experience in the fields of semiconductor device and integrated circuit design, wafer processing and manufacturing, semiconductor packaging, computer architecture, software development, blockchain and crypto-assets, radio communications, medical devices, and consumer electronics.I have a demonstrated history of creatively solving problems to maximize business potential while mitigating risks.
