As an Area Vice President (AVP) for the Nordics, I was the P&L responsible for a group of Business Units (BU:s) within the segment for Hospital Information Systems (HIS) in the Nordics. Daniel is responsible for the business area Public Care which is CompuGroup Medical Sweden AB's largest customer segment and deliver products and services state, regions, county councils and municipalities. As a General Manager I had the overall responsibility for all of the Business Unit. I was the disciplinary supervisor to all employees assigned to the Business Unit. This includes the Job Areas Administration and Sales & Marketing as well as Product and Service & Support. My goal was to manage and foster a fast growing, highly profitable business that is highly competitive with innovative products and a strong market position. Tasks and responsibilities:1. Ongoing development and improvement of the business strategy together with the leading managers - always focused on satisfied customers and profitable growth.2. Chief Architect and IT strategist in Stockholm County Council (SLL). Member of SLL IT's management board and reported to the IT Director. Member of the 3R collaboration between SLL, Västra Götaland (VGR) and Region Skåne (RS) with the aim of to synchronize the IT development in the three regions finding cost efficient solutions for the healthcare core businesses.The work included to set requirement, coordinate, manage, order and control the work related to the introduction of IT solutions for the county councils and healthcare providers with respect to stakeholders such as municipalities, government agencies and authorities. The tasks included were to ensure:- a high impact / benefit of SLL's IT investments.- an effective IT governance.- an effective IT architecture for the county council and the individual caregivers.The focus during this period was to:- facilitate efforts to consolidate information technology activities within the regional healthcare to an IT organization to achieve savings.- coordinate IT development within the SLL with respect to national initiatives.- ensure that information technology followed laws and regulations.- support business goals/strategies for patient safety, medical quality and cost-efficiency. Daniel participated in extensive evaluations of the EPIC with the representatives of the County council's management and hospital management within the Stockholm County Council, which included visits to the United States, England and Holland.

TeleMedIS - A Success Story from a joint eHealth project beween Matimop (1) and Tadiran Spectralink Ltd (2) from Israel and Vinnova and Karolinska University hospital of Sweden.
