I explore, ask questions, translate jargon, diagram information, and build solutions with what I find.I spend most of my time at the intersections between multiple business operations and technologies. Working with stakeholders and engineering teams, I balance wants and needs against resources and constraints. And I support them through iterations of discovery, design, development & deployment until they’re self sufficient.

MarineUs Marine Corps Jan 1989 - Jun 1995Washington, Dc, UsDISA, BRAC, global networks and regional data centers, and some other stuff (including the occasional destruction of training aids). ** We were a private, multi-tenant Cloud for DoD, providing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. We made extensive use of virtualization and highly distributed n-tier architectures, all of which spanned a wide variety of communication and processing architectures. ** Much of my work was analysis and rationalization of services for data center consolidations and automation (to facilitate cost savings and running "lights out" for resilience, COOP, and DR scenarios). ** The Marine Corps has been doing "frugal" and "agile" since 1775.
