Sun badged contractor for their Professional Services and Identity Management organizations, for Service Provider clients implementing Sun’s Directory Server for Access Control (AAA) and Identity Management (IDM).note: after the Oracle acquisition, Sun Java Directory Server Enterprise Edition (DSEE) continues on as Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition. Additionally, Sun Microsystems released DSEE as an open source project called OpenDS. OpenDS was the basis for UnboundID (acquired by PING) and ForgeRock's OpenDJ.

Hired into the Service Provider Line of Business (SPLOB) to assist with product development and market launch of Directory Enabled Network (DEN) Solutions.As a Consulting Architect for Service Providers participating in Early Field Trials of new products, applications, and APIs, my responsibilities included assisting customers (ATT, British Telecom, Quest, Sprint, Telstra, and WorldCom/MCI) with architecture and implementation as well as representing their product requirements to internal development organizations. The emphasis was joint development of Directory Enabled Networking (DEN) Solutions to integrate customer OSS/BSS applications with workflow processes, ERP, SFA, and CRM systems. These integrations reduced truck rolls and maintenance costs associated with network assets while speeding time to market for new revenue generating services. Products developed through this work include Cisco Config Engine, Access Registrar, VPN Solution Center, the CNS SDK, and the IOS CNS Agent.
