I conducted a project involving 9 states of the North Central Region of the U.S. to address important questions related to the increase concern with stink bugs in soybean fields. Specifically, I characterized the community and seasonal abundance of stink bugs, analyzed the influence of surrounding habitats and developed a sequential sampling plan for stink bugs in the region. Further, I participated in side studies looking for the by-catch of Pentatomidae in Emerald Ash Border (EAB) purple prism traps, looking for resistance of the soybean aphid to commonly used insecticides and looking at the community of natural enemy of stink bugs in Minnesota.
