While I was working as a waitress at River Rock Cafe, I developed tools to help me succeed in future careers, whether in the restaurant industry or not. Practiced customer service, bookkeeping, task management, customer relations, and customer support.- Studied the workplace to contribute adequate help among others in a time of need.- Understood different positions, committed five days as a waitress and two as a cashier, and worked as a team to provide efficient service for guests.- Informed customers about daily specials, food portions, menu descriptions, town knowledge, and tourist attractions.- Adapted to a quick and fast paced environment. Quickly moved from tables, taking food orders, entering food in a POS System, delivering food, and bringing checks to table while balancing multiple tables at one time.- Multitasked by handling a section with multiple tables to provide efficient and quick service between multiple waitresses, running food orders to table once prepared, and managing side-work.

While I worked as a Waitress at Mad Moose Cafe in Walden, Colorado I developed many skills that have carried on to my performance at Leeds School of Business. Skills I practiced were: bookkeeping, skill development, inventory, sales, growth, cash operations, and management skills.- Evaluated cash register during shifts to keep track of currency. Counted cash register drawer before and after shift to prove no funds were missing and practiced basic money counting.- Managed and balanced multiple roles during shifts due to staff shortage. Stayed attentive to customers needs and personal responsibilities. I was a waitress and busser at the same time, working on my multitasking skills.- Informed customers on menu items, town history, and popular tourists attractions to increase sales and strive for the growth of the restaurant.- Adjusted and assisted through restaurants growth from start to end.I dedicated long hours after school, weekends, and started the job when restaurant opened until it closed in 2022. Provided feedback from customers to cooks and managers.- Kept track of inventory in the front of the restaurant to ensure it was stocked and prepared for busy months.
