Alongside learning key journalistic skills such as interviewing, news gathering, research, fact checking and copy writing I also became proficient at using audio visual editing software to convey stories across TV, radio and online platforms. During this time I gained work experience at BBC Radio Manchester and prior to the course at the Guardian as a researcher.
