Daniel has a background in various areas of ICT. After graduating with B.Sc in Computer Science, Daniel has been working in the software industry and the academics. He has also acquired M.Sc from KTH, The Royal Institute of Technology in "Information Systems Security"​ and from University of Oslo in "Linux System Administration"​. Currently Daniel is working as Linux system Administrator at NRK (Norwegian public broadcasting company) that is the largest media organisation in Norway. Before NRK, Daniel has worked as "Unixdriftar" in a Chief Engineer level at the University of Bergen, IT department. The section is responsible for the operations of the University´s IT systems including but not limited to the mail system, web servers, digital learning systems, local Ubuntu repositories, configuration management system and client machines of employees and student lab computers. Daniel´s main tasks include configuration management of linux and Mac machines with Puppet and Ansible; automation of routine tasks with scripting (Python and Shell); software packaging and deployment; provisioning virtual servers on VMware and 2/3 line support. He also participated in the DigUiB program of the university with a focus on digital school examinations. Daniel has also joined an Openstack based Federated Cloud Project that run by NeIC with main responsibility in VM management and Cloud Security. The project is named Glenna and it was aimed at providing cloud services (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) for researchers in the Nordic countries by creating a federated cloud platform on top of existing infrastructure run by member countries.Professionally Daniel has a long-term goal of becoming an Infrastructure Security Expert and a deep heart desire to work on minimizing the digital divide between developed and developing countries by localizing contents and participating in causes to improve the infrastructure in developing countries for affordable and reliable access to the Internet.
