AFRP Overview:The purpose of the Accounting and Finance Program is to provide analysts with the opportunity to see 4 different business areas at The Walt Disney Company. Over the next 2 years, I will spend 6 months in each of the following areas: cost accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and finance. Overview:I was asked by the Baylor CBO to represent our University on this Student Advisory board. Oracle is working on a new student finance dashboard, and having real students that currently use these tools provides them with useful insight into creating beneficial products. I have appreciated the opportunity to drive value and network with managers at a billion dollar company like Oracle.Product Testing:-Virtually collaborated with a diverse group of students nationwide, actively participating in product testing and brainstorming sessions with Oracle's product development team.-Played a crucial role in the testing and refinement of a cutting-edge student financial dashboard slated for implementation at hundreds of universities across the country.-Engaged directly with Oracle managers, offering valuable feedback on the new system, providing a unique and insightful perspective from a real student's standpoint.

Overview:Originally, I was brought on to help the Truett CFO visualize their budget and identify overspent departments. Quickly, this position turned into much more. I have been able to showcase my Excel, Alteryx, and VBA skills to transform Truett's month-end close.-Created and streamlined a budget reporting process by using Alteryx for manipulation and VBA for data visualization automation-Created reports and dashboards that helped provide insight into the departments $10M+ yearly operating budget-Designed templates for reporting on Truett Seminary's $110+ million endowment, facilitating clear and accurate financial analysis.

Overview:1 of 6 interns selected for the summer rotation. We were exposed to external clients and 4 internal departments. Also, we were tasked with completing the Alteryx Designer Core certification which I completed in just under two weeks.Business Transformation:-Partnered with BT Practice Leader to identify top buy signs amongst the different service lines offered within BT.-Interviewed 7 different Managing Directors to curate a list of top buy-signs that could be used to better sell BT services.-Created various deliverables for BT that showcased buy-sign metrics, internal memos, and slide decks summarizing Gartner's analysis of the coming growth of BT services over the next 10 years.Marketing:-Shared insight with the marketing team on their Embark podcast about what it's like to be a college student and "start in the Big 4". This included discussing challenges in career selection, what the accounting recruitment experience is like, and next steps for myself as a CPA.-Delivered valuable insights into the college accounting recruitment experience to the Senior Talent Marketing Manager. -These deliverables will be used to help Embark find opportunities to disrupt the accounting recruitment landscape, and deliver content to help undergraduate students in their professional career journey.People Operations:-Collaborated with the Workday HCM Admin to learn about the recent integration to Workday.-Aided in system testing and task creation using the built in logic functions.Hospitality:-Worked with the other interns to plan Embark's monthly hospitality event for the Dallas office.-Staying within our $6,000 budget, we successfully planned a company outing for 100+ employees to attend.

-Worked collaboratively with senior auditors and partners to gain insights into risk assessment, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

-Coordinated dozens of Admissions Representatives during tour times to ensure smooth operations.-Designed and implemented a new training service that streamlined the completion of Admissions Representatives tasks using various Google suite apps.-Trained and provided feedback to dozens of new Admissions Representatives.-Worked closely with upper-management in the Admissions Department to refine the overall campus tour and to provide feedback about day-to-day operations.

-Hosted hundereds of students on campus each week while leading personalized experiences around campus.-Improved guest experiences by going above and beyond with hospitality service.-Helped in the planning and execution of large-scale on-campus events that accommodated 1000's of visitors in Waco and on campus.-Worked within a fast-paced team environment, constantly having to adapt and problem-solve while thinking on our feet before and during tours.
