• Responsible for the creation of shop orders and necessary shop packet documentation; schedule and communicates production changes out to shop floor. • Communicate with coworkers regarding delivery information and coordination of production plan to shop floor.• Review the MPS and MRP data and take appropriate actions required to issue, change or flag production orders to meet customer demand.• Ensure that there is adequate lead time to complete orders released to the shop floor and help develop a plan for items that need to be scheduled with short lead times. • Responsible for inventory cycle counts and accuracy.• Create capacity plans to accommodate customer requests, to include recovery plans.• Plan and approve new tooling requests based on historical and future requirements.• Suggest and plan overtime as needed.• Update individual product forecasts in SAP.• Monitor production planning processes and implement improvements when needed.
