Ordered labs and imaging, interpreted results, prescribed medications, and provided referrals.-Pediatrics | Mountain West Pediatrics: Rural pediatric rotation working with kids 0-18yrs including preventative physicals, sick visits, urgent care-Endocrinology | Diabetes and Endocrine Treatment Specialists: Evaluated and treated patients for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, other endocrine disorders. Interpreted results from continuous glucose monitors and provided education on insulin pumps-Family Medicine | South Main Clinic: Provided physicals and routine evaluations to a diverse patient population. Ordered labs and imaging, interpreted results, prescribed medications, and provided referrals. Performed Nexplanon removals.-Emergency Medicine | University of Utah Hospital: Evaluated, ordered labs and imaging, assessed, and provided treatment plan for emergent conditions in busy ER.-Women's Health | University of Utah Hospital: Provided routine pelvic and breast exams, helped provide OB care, evaluated and treated women’s health conditions.-Hospital Medicine | University of Utah Hospital: Assess patients for transfers and admissions to medicine floor. Evaluated, interpreted labs and imaging, helped provide treatment to patients during hospital stay. Consulted with other healthcare providers.-Urgent Care | University of Utah Clinics: Assessed and treated various urgent conditions. Triaged conditions that needed emergent care. Sutured various lacerations on extremities.-General Surgery | Holy Cross Hospital: Conducted pre-op and post-op consultations for various conditions. Assisted and observed various laparoscopic and robotic repairs including cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, among others.-Elective-Psychiatry

Provided direct clinical care to patients of a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds and refugees. Dutiesincluded updating medical history, taking vitals, venipuncture, injections and vaccines, EKG, POCtesting, among others. Assured patients had an interpreter in person or via iPad to communicateeffectively. Participated in a Spanish Clinic where providers and MA's all providedculturally competent care in Spanish. Participated in "pilot program" allowing MA to be present during visit and chart for provider.
