As a member of PwC's Public Sector Practice, I work with our U.S. Government clients to further their objectives. Having obtained a project management certification (PMP), I provide stakeholder management to improve project risk identification and increase inter-governmental collaboration. I have also created business processes, tailored work plans and project management tools.On an internal level, I have supported one of PwC's Public Sector Practice's key business units by managing engagement financial analysis, providing internal leadership with projected outlook and year-over-year comparisons.

As a part of DHL Express' North American business development team, I drove a $4,000,000 annual revenue portfolio. I was tasked with engaging new clients and leveraged DHL internal operations and finance teams to create tailored supply chain solutions.In addition, I advised existing clients on their logistics operations, outlining ways to improve their standard operating procedures and streamline their global delivery network.

I was recruited to work at DHL's UK headquarters and charged with implementing business development data collection and analysis processes on a global level. In this capacity, I managed the development of an automated data analysis process, which led to an increase in accuracy and facilitated financial projections.I also drove regional interface for this new business unit by coordinating the exchange of ideas and best practices.

The Operations Management Program is designed to give you a robust and balanced understanding of both transportation and operations. It is an 18 month program and consists of three placements. As a result of ongoing operational success, I was asked to continue my work on my last project, with Alstom Power.Placement 1 (United Kingdom):OPERATIONS MANAGER, Patient Transport Services, National Health Service Project:I was responsible for client engagement strategy following a new contract award with the National Health Service, tasked with introducing the DHL service offering to hospital staff and patients.In addition, I performed a process improvement review of third party contractor agreements and implemented cost-cutting measures which resulted in 15% savings.Once the contract went live, I spported the implementation by managing patient transportation at a hospital site.Placement 2 (United Kingdom):FIRST LINE MANAGER, Tesco Food Distribution Center Project:I managed a team of twenty-five distribution center "pickers". In this capacity, I was responsible for key performance indicator (KPI) monitoring, shift planning and adherence to health and safety standards.As a team manager, I held weekly meetings to discuss team morale, promote lessons-learned, identify working issues and share operational targets.Placement 3 (Spain):OPERATIONS MANAGER, Alstom Power Project:As operations manager, implemented the global supply chain of a wind farm development in Brazil. I managed the stakeholder relationship in both Europe and Latin America, coordinating suppliers and freight carriers.As a result of excellent operational performance, DHL was awarded $5,000,000 worth of additional projects.

As a summer intern, I was afforded the opportunity to support a number of initiatives across the bureau. Of significant note, I coordinated law enforcement training sessions for foreign police units; represented my department during meetings with other agencies, including USAID, informing directors of program updates; and conducted policy research on various drug related topics, including “eradication versus rehabilitation”.

As a summer intern, I performed a number of tasks in the Senator's office. Of significant note, I conducted policy research, interacted with constituents, represented the Senator at committee hearings, and worked on media press releases. I also had an opportunity to shadow Senator Brown.Overall, I gained an understanding of the legislative process.
