I am a USMC veteran who served from 2017 to 2021, stationed throughout the United States and Okinawa, Japan, with global travel experience. During my service, I spent a majority of my time with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in Okinawa, where I had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the Pacific. In addition, I spent time in Yuma, Arizona, at The Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course, where I was able to cross-train with other Marines and hone my craft as a radio operator. One of the Marine Corps leadership principles is "Know yourself and seek self-improvement," and I apply this principle to all aspects of my life, especially my passion for the gym. I love the gym because I am always learning to improve my form, diet, and workout structure. One of my idols is Mike Mentzer, and I embrace his philosophy of giving maximum effort in all areas of life. Mike Mentzer's quote, "The mind is everything. If you don't believe you can do something, then you can't," is a mantra that I strongly believe in. As a Marine Corps veteran, I understand that success often begins with a positive mindset and the belief that we can achieve our goals. This philosophy has helped me stay motivated and focused, both during my military service and my academic pursuits. By embracing the mindset that anything is possible with the right attitude and effort, I am confident that I can continue to achieve great things in my career and personal life.
