In this research group, led by Prof. Dr. M.A.M. Smeets, we conducted state-of-the-art research experiments revolving around the role of olfaction embedded in social contexts. Important topics were: chemosignalling between humans, and how olfaction & context interact to create reality. We built our own olfactometers (programmable and consistent odor delivery devices), and pioneered in the field of sniff analysis. We also combined olfactometry and sniff responses within a virtual reality context.My tasks included:* communication with business partners on study design and benefits* conceptualization, literature research* project design, administration and planning* selecting / controlling recruitment agencies, hardware engineers, software developers* budgeting, orders, materials, facilities* develop hardware & software* study execution* data management & storage* data analysis, business reports, co-authoring in scientific journals* lab management
