Envisioning a world in which humans live in harmony with each other and al life, I have enjoyed careers as a social entrepreneur and sustainability advocate, specialising in ecovillage education and climate change. In 1999, I founded Living Routes, which partnered with UMass Amherst to run study abroad programs based in ecovillages around the world. I left in 2012 to start Earth Deeds, which offers online tools to “onset” CO2 emissions and support local solutions to global warming and, more recently, CAPE, which develops custom academic programs in ecovillages. I also served as President of the Global Ecovillage Network from 2015-2019.In 2019, I moved to Auroville, an international community in south India, but returned to the Findhorn Foundation in September, 2022 (exactly 30 years to the day from when I first arrived to complete my Ph.D. in Child Development) to assume the role of Education Director. I left that post in April, 2023, a few months before the Foundation closed. I now co-direct the Foundation for Intentional Community.Specialties: Sustainability in study abroad, ecovillages, community building, experiential education, child development, carbon consciousness
