I taught "Environmental Impacts Analysis" and "Life Cycle Assessment " for Engineering School (Ecole d'Ingénieurs) students at INP Grenoble (Université Grenoble Alpes) and Master Engineer students at INP Grenoble, Génie Industrielle, and at Joseph Fourier University. Up to 120 teaching hours in total. What is an Environmental Impact? Is there only the "Global Warming" indicator out there? How can we mesure them? Which factors contribute to them? Up to 120 teaching hours in total. What is an Environmental Impact? Is there only the "Global Warming" indicator out there? How can we mesure them? Which factors contribute to them? What can we do as engineers and as citizens to deal with them? These and more questions were assessed during the classes. I taught the foundations of Eco-Design (this is Design for the Environment) and we learned that we can ally performance, economics and environment in one complete solution for engineering challenges. Students learned how to use Simapro and other softwares to assess these questions as well as learning EU regulations on this matter. Show less

I did my PhD research work within the G-SCOP Laboratory, in Grenoble Alpes University. My project consisted in studying how we can make Li-Ion Batteries for electric vehicles in an environmental friendly way; first, knowing the current environmental impacts of the Battery(via Life Cycle Assessments), then studying the source of those impacts (which element or process provokes such high impacts?) and finally I proposed a sistematic way to identify and assess those in order to make "greener"… Show more I did my PhD research work within the G-SCOP Laboratory, in Grenoble Alpes University. Once the battery is spent, about 10 years in modern electric cars, we have to figure out how to recover the dangerous substances within (heavy metals, for example). This is a major problem nowadays because there are too many Li-Ion battery types, for doing a "nice and clean" recycling process we would need to make a new recycling method for every single Li-Ion battery type. The solution to the End-of-Life problems seems to be making Batteries "easy to recycle", this is Eco-Design batteries: Think of these issues since the very first step of design, collaborating with the whole life battery stakeholders, arriving to a holistic solution. I worked with Professor José Hernández Grau within the Thermodynamics and Fluids Department as a trainee measuring exhaust gases parameters from a combustion engine using biodiesel and hydrogen as combustible. Activities and Societies: Li-ion Batteries Ecodesign, Life Cycle Assessments, Sustainability Courses: - Design for Recycling.
As my Final Degree Project in Engineering I choosed to go abroad, to France, and spend there the whole year at Université Joseph Fourier.
