I spent the last 30 years focusing on enterprise systems and the plight of project centric companies. I found there was a surprisingly large disconnect between how these companies are run from a business process standpoint and capable project business systems. In beginning I thought that there must be a practical reason for it to be this way, but I have found none. Most are stuck in a pre-ERP world where even very large businesses are run on simple disconnected desktop tools. I created ADEACA with the mission to do something about it. Adeaca has identified a new macro-industry called Project Business, which groups together firms in industries such as AEC, project-based manufacturing, aerospace and defense, energy, and professional services by the essential characteristic that they are project-driven. Project Business is much like supermarkets, hardware stores, consumer electronics stores, gas stations etc. that are defined as Retail Business, despite selling very different products and services.With this fundamental insight, we have defined and created a new category of systems that we call Project Business Automation (PBA) to meet the needs of this new Project Business industry.
