President Of The Neomed Foundation And Vice President For Advancement
Led team comprised of development and alumni relations professionals (and marketing and communications, prior to 2020). Responsible for all university fundraising activities and foundation board management. Member of the President’s leadership team. Raised $44 million – 10% over goal – from nearly 3,000 donors for scholarships, research, new facilities, and academic programs. Closed Campaign with most successful fundraising year in NEOMED’s history, raising $13.1 million from over 1,000 donors, including the largest grant and bequest ever received at NEOMED. Closed the Campaign with the One Shining Evening gala, a bookend to the 2014 event where the Campaign was publicly announced; together, the two events hosted over 1,000 guests and netted over $500,000 for scholarships.Cultivated and stewarded portfolio of over 100 top donors and prospects, including seven figure university donors and foundations. Solicited or co-solicited with President and others $22 million in gifts and grants from over 250 different donors and foundations. Created and launched a number of unique fundraising initiatives to address emerging needs and opportunities.Facilitated revamping of Foundation board culture and agenda. Developed Foundation strategic plan to guide post-Shine On activities, with an emphasis on stewardship, planned giving, and annual support. Engaged board members and other volunteers to develop, fund and implement new special projects in arts and culture, social entrepreneurship, staff coaching and development, LGBTQ outreach, and sustainability.
