Even before my promotion to Senior Project Manager, I continuously inherited challenging projects. I leveraged the scrum methodology to bring those projects to success; focusing on one major principle: strengthening trust through valuing people over process. I fostered a space where my team could bond and lean on each other. They could trust me to advocate for them which encouraged them to advocate for the client, building the best product for our partnersCoaching the engineers on my team, I often fought for changes in processes to increase efficiency in executing the plan. This included a more detailed look at strategy and design.I utilized the same mindset with the other project managers in order to replicate the same culture across the teams in WDS.

As a Project Manager for WDS, I led the best group of engineers, in developing and delivering large complex web-projects. Focusing on relationship building and strengthening trust, we quickly became the strongest team.Practicing transparency with partners, I found trust was strengthened and communication made more effective. Frequent retrospectives allowed us to quickly hone the process.I not only coached engineers but advocated them as they progressed in their careers leading to multiple well-deserved promotions.

I had the opportunity to guide peers and professionals through business strategies, implementing project management tools and new technologies. A few companies I partnered with included the following:Amazon FBA Agency - Where I organized and strategized marketing/advertising campaigns for e-commerce clients. I partnered with leadership to discover and analyze growth opportunities. I designed the onboarding process that allowed new team members to quickly get up to speed.Boutique Wineries (Vint Hill Craft Winery/Pearmund) - I proposed a website rebuild to be more intuitive and user friendly, allowing customers to find all the information they needed when visiting the wineries and purchasing select award-winning wines. I led the team in reconstruction of marketing strategy through digital media and new marketing strategies.Long-haul transportation (Kalla Express) - I coached the owners in business strategies and implement project management tools in order to achieve a more organized and profitable. We increased profitability of investment opportunities (gaining over 28% ROI in the last year I was there. I also aided in increasing the fleet size by more than double in three months.

I found this opportunity through my network where a Finnish-style institute was established in Lima, Peru. As a project manager and finance professional, I coached multiple teams of young entrepreneurs to structure their projects more efficiently and become financially sustainable.I supported operations teams and coaches in developing strategy for a unified approach and mentored the day-to-day for future success by using waterfall and agile methodologies.

I continued my journey in this quasi-government association but grew to a position where I developed and managed digital projects plans including website rebuild, marketing overhaul and app development. Not wanting to be the holder of information, I developed and held training sessions for new content management systems, UI elements, HTML/CSS and graphic tools.Led in the development of designing a new email marketing strategy for recipients across the government and industry workforce.I honed my financial skills through invoice and proposal auditing resulting in cost savings for the organization.In supporting the AFCEA Cyber Committee and the AFCEA Homeland Security Committee, I expanded not just my network but the network of these communities.

Having worked at AFCEA International in order to pay for my education at George Mason University, I was quickly hired as a coordinator. I led the redesign of the conference webpage template, brining a fresh new look to government events.I coordinated conference/symposia components such as marketing, speaker coordination and database management.Alongside the technical duties I was also recruited to aid the AFCEA Intelligence Committee (a committee of top executives in the Intelligence Community). This led to organizing special networking events for high-level executives and trained me in communication with C-level executives.I received multiple commendations for exceeding work standards.
