I’m Daniel Bryant, a longtime technical storyteller, software developer, architect, and DevOps engineer. I've built and led teams throughout my career, including in software delivery consultancy, platform building, and developer advocacy. More recently, I've been advising founders, technical go-to-market leaders, and developer relations teams at start-up and scale-up B2B companies.I’ve always enjoyed being a bridge between technology and people. With a career ranging from academic to Java developer to CTO (and everything in between), I’ve done some of my best work when leading business-focused teams that find, define, and solve customer problems. I enjoy being given a broad challenge, desired outcome, or required impact and working with my team to create and implement a strategy. As well as empowering the teams I lead, I enjoy giving back to the community. I have written books, organized meetup groups, and run regular online mentoring sessions. My teams and mentees have been recognized as Java Champions, Microsoft MVPs, CNCF Ambassadors, AWS Heroes, and more.I'm humbled to have been recognized for my work as a Java Champion and a TechBeacon "DevOps 100: Top leaders, practitioners, and experts". I was twice included in the OpenUK’s Annual Honours List and their "State of Open" exhibition.
