Serving in the U.S. Navy for 6 years, I was able to travel the world and acquire a work ethic that will stay with me for a lifetime. My focus of duty was in the engineering discipline aboard a Naval Destroyer, the USS Milius which was home ported in San Diego, CA. My time aboard the Milius gave me an opportunity to develop my under pressure problem solving skills on a wide range of engineering equipment that was vital to the ship's mission. Serving through two deployments overseas I led a division of 9 sailors through technical projects and was able to polish my communication and organizational skills.
