Daniel was responsible for the management of commercial and contract related issues in relation to the Station Upgrades Portfolio within the Transport Access Program. He was in involved in every aspect of the project lifecycle including the development of procurement strategies, tender assessments and post-contract management. He worked collaboratively with the project teams at all levels to ensure the project is delivered on time on budget. John Holland engaged Daniel as a contracts administrator on the new South West Rail Link. The project involved the construction of new 11.4km rail line from Glenfield to Leppington, with two new train stations, including commuter car parks and a train-stabling facility. Daniel was heavily involved in the delivery of procurement strategies, contracting strategies, tendering, tender evaluation and subsequent award of trades. Daniels involvement with the Ararat Prison project was to provide general delivery and commercial advice, the consortium involved in the construction works was in Administration and therefore required significant amount of commercial input. The Ararat Prison Project consists of the design, construction maintenance of the new facilities and systems, including new 358 bed medium security prison expansion.Key Deliverables; Ararat Prison Project ($400m) • Liaised with the Legal team on all contractual matters including preparation of documentation in relation to Claims • Managed all aspects of procurement, cost control, planning and contract management disciplines• Assessment of claim entitlement including negotiations of extensions of time • Management of all correspondence to reduce commercial exposure

The sub-surface railway upgrade was an upgrade program to the London Underground network, consisting of nine individual lines. The upgrade program included significant capital investment in track, rolling stock, signals, stations and new test track facility. Daniel managed all commercial aspects in relation to the sub-surface railway upgrade, his involvement in the tender process, contract award and post-contract management was instrumental in the successful delivery of the projects. Key AssignmentsBaker Street Station Upgrade ($20m) • Platform lengthening project was to enable the new 8-car rolling stock to be introduced onto the network, the project included refurbishment of all station assets including mechanical and electrical upgrades. • Daniels involvement with the project spanned from tender stage to asset handover to the maintainerLadbroke Grove Station Upgrade ($3m)• The project consisted of a full station upgrade project, including platform lengthening, bridge strengthening, communications and fire system upgrades• Daniel supported the project team during the construction phase, assessed variations, claims for extension of time, developed budgets and forecasts and implemented cost saving initiatives.
