I am Daniel Cid. I am builder and part-time breaker. Currently working on CleanBrowsing, a DNS-based filter to protect kids, families, schools and business when they go online.I am also the founder of Sucuri, a startup we sold to GoDaddy back in 2017 - and OSSEC, an open source security software sold to Trend Micro back in 2008. I love to build products that solve real problems, specially in the security space. Description of the project from Wikipedia:OSSEC is a free, open source host-based intrusion detection system (IDS). It performs log analysis, integrity checking, Windows registry monitoring, rootkit detection, time-based alerting and active response. It provides intrusion detection for most operating systems, including Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, Solaris and Windows. It has a centralized, cross-platform architecture allowing multiple systems to be easily monitored and managed. It was written by Daniel B. Cid and made public in 2004.In June 2008 the OSSEC project and all the copyright owned by the project leader, Daniel B. Cid, were acquired by Trend Micro and kept free by them.
