Led an active duty staff of 16 including one civilian employee and 130 Selected Reservists. Responsible for the mobilization readiness of all assigned reservists to include training, medical, and physical fitness readiness for mobilization. Supervised the successful mobilization and de-mobilization of over 10 reservists in support of Fleet requirements. Responsible for the maintenance of 3 buildings, two MPFUB boats, one small boat and a small arms program.

As the N81 Integrated Air and Missile Defense analyst, I provided timely, relevant analysis to Director, Naval Assessments (OPNAV N81). I managed several high interest ballistic missile defense studies with Lincoln Laboratory, the Applied Physics Laboratory, and NSWC Dahlgren. I also developed modeling tools for the Navy in Python, Access, and Excel and provided subject matter experience to internal OPNAV studies in support of the Navy program objective memorandum (POM).

Lead Operations Department through the first on hull period and two successful Crew Certification events for DETROIT Gold Crew following commissioning. Successfully completed a challenging post shakedown availability and Fleet Week Fort Lauderdale.

Requirements/Resource Officer. Responsible to Chief of Naval Operations Staff, Surface Warfare Director for planning, programing, budgeting, and execution of Surface Navy Directed Energy Weapons and Railgun programs. Briefed a Flag Level Naval Capabilities Board to initiate a Capabilities Based Assessment with a transition plan for Initial Capabilities Document development and approval as well as an Analysis of Alternatives supporting transition of Navy Solid State Laser Weapons and Electromagnetic Railguns from Science and Technology efforts to OPNAV N96 Programs of Record. Helped develop and brief Program Objective Memorandum recommendations for program initiation and transition. Wrote the first draft of the Initial Capabilities Document for "Advanced Naval Surface Fires" supporting new gun-like technology transition as well as legacy major caliber gun upgrades and sustainment. Established and lead an Integrated Product Team for Advanced Naval Surface Fires spanning the OPNAV Staff, Government Acquisition Offices, and the Office of Naval Research with liaison authority to the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army and various DoD organizations. Represented N96 on a source selection board for ONR's Solid State Laser Technology Maturation Program (SSL-TM).

M.S. Systems Engineering Analysis. Capstone project in lieu of thesis addressed the feasibility of installing directed energy weapons on a DDG-51 class destroyer on an accelerated schedule. Project modeling and simulation lead. Developed a systems model to examine capability gaps, weapon performance, and lethality.

Department Head. Responsible for Navigation, Administration, and 3M Divisions. Personally and legally responsible to the ship's commanding officer for the safe navigation of USS GUNSTON HALL (LSD 44) through hundreds of restricted water transits in support of operations in SOUTHCOM, AFRICOM, EUCOM, and NORTHCOM. Supported Haiti earthquak relief efforts, Africa Partnership Station 2010, and Baltic Operations (first Amphibious demonstration in exercise history).Qualified: Tactical Action Officer, Engineering Officer of the Watch, Command Duty Officer, Officer of the Deck (Underway & In Port).

Division Officer. Responsible for Deck Division personnel as well as Anchoring, Mooring, Small Boat, and Helicoptor operations.Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure Boarding Officer. Led a team of 9 Sailors through approximately 50 boarding operations in CENTCOM in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.
