Mechanical engineer by education and project manager by career path, I am also a Project Management Professional, certified Six Sigma Green Belt, and Continuous Improvement Lean Practitioner and proud of the range of my hands-on project management experience.Through my cumulative years of experience at GE, Goodrich, Materia and Chinburg, my success portfolio includes a unique range of projects from both production and research and development environments; specifically, I became the efficient communicator I am today through my immersion in the engineering production control of a high temperature, fiber-based composite aerospace product integral to a fleet of US Navy aircraft and further developed my skill set while acting as a central planning agent in the development and material qualification of several composite products (solutions for oil & gas and wind energy industries) driven by Materia's novel thermoset resin material system, Proxima.If summarized, though, it might be said that my core strength is my core strength; that I am mindful and well-rounded, good to my core, and a proven leader and critical team member alike with the innate ability to direct complex projects and improve inefficient processes by leveraging my natural sense of, and comfortability with, organization and structure.On the personal, colorful side of things, I am the founder and sole proprietor of my photography website, www.danieljclapp.com, and contribute to a variety of creative projects in my spare time.I'd be happy to hear from you so, by all means, drop me a line!
