Lead the technical integration of DISA’s multibillion-dollar global cybersecurity initiative called the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) into the Navy’s Security Operations Center (SOC). • Primary US Navy SOC representative, in multiple inter-agency working groups, engaged in the integration of current USN technologies and procedures with the emerging DISA JRSS system.• Liaison between USN Migration Teams of four Navy enterprise networks and two Navy enclave networks, and DISA’s Security Engineers during the transition to JRSS.• Guided, trained and developed relevant documentation for Tier I and Tier II Analysts through the transition of the Navy’s current capabilities to the replacement tools within JRSS including multiple commercially available cybersecurity detection and threat management tools.• Collaborate with US Navy’s SIEM development team to incorporate JRSS Stack generated data into current USN tools and applications.• Development of Splunk Dashboards to help with the tuning and troubleshooting of JRSS IPS and IDS sensors• Collaborate with the training department to develop training and standard operating procedures for emerging tools and capabilities.• Development and implementation of process and procedures for all tools used within JRSS.• Configuration and management of a variety of intrusion detection and intrusion prevention devices.

Lead a team of Tier I Network Security Analysts to help proactively defend the Navy’s multibillion-dollar network infrastructure with the use of a multimillion-dollar sensor grid.• Considered a subject matter expert in IT and Computer Network Defense (CND) principles, concepts, methods, standards and practices through development, interpretation and implementation of policies, procedure and strategies governing the planning, execution and supervision of data analysis, log analysis, network monitoring and CNDSP services.• Lead multiple Cyber Network Defense (CND) Analysts to process over 20,000 computer network intrusion detections and log analysis evolutions impacting global US Navy network and computer systems.• Navy’s Log Analysis Subject Matter Expert which designed, developed, and implemented the processes, tools, and training still used by the Navy CSSP Log Analysts.• Performed routine quality control over the analysis and reports written by the Network Forensics Analysts for cyber events and log analysis• Provided ‘on-the-wire’ forensic analysis of TCP/IP packets for threat recognition and action/remediation determination.• Performed in-depth analysis of firewall, MS Windows server and desktop, MS ISA/TMG, MS Exchange, MS IIS, MS SQL, Apache, Squid Proxy, and other services/desktop logs to determine attack vector and verify attack success/failure.
