I have been collaborating with the Piccolo Teatro since 2005 and regularly translate a wide range of texts including press releases, production descriptions, artist biographies, publications, news articles and the website. I began my collaboration while working in Milan at the British Council and continue to work with the Piccolo on a regular basis following my move to Sardegna in 2006.

For Bildung I translated the quarterly photography and contemporary arts magazine Aperitivo Illustrato - http://www.aperitivoillustrato.it/ as well as catalogues for art exhibitions.

After seven years of teaching at the British Council I moved into the administrative team. I was involved in course planning, timetabling, placement testing and student enrollment, and exam administration. I was also the webmaster for the Milan branch. In this period I took on, as a personal project, the full implementation of the Registrar (Oracle) database system, which up to then was used solely for holding student information and managing payments. I activated the previously unused modules for holding student test results and teacher information, allowing much more efficient data exchange between teaching staff and the registrar team and full study histories for all students. I also activated the integration between the Registrar program and the Library administration program, allowing for the creation of student member cards for access to the centre, the library and immediate identification of students for administration purposes. During this implementation I prepared and held training sessions for staff and produced manuals. As a result of my work in this area the Milan branch was one of the first in the world to use Registrar to its full potential and was held as a model for many other centres.
