Working in small team on a variety of drilling rigs in the North Sea and Irish Sea to monitor the drilling operation, interpret the Geology and maintain the Mud Log. Main duties involved: • Collecting, collating and interpreting geological cuttings from the well bore to characterise the reservoir and build a comprehensive and accurate mud log• Monitoring drilling and wellbore parameters to ensure a safe drilling campaign• Provide feedback on drilling activity to all necessary personnel both at the rig site and on the beach• First point of contact for the client and Well Site Geologist• Analysing cuttings, calcimetery and hydrocarbon shows• Working alongside the Wellsite Geologist to construct interpreted logs in real time• Real time, MWD, LWD data and sample acquisition• Inputting data into “Insite”, Halliburton’s own data management system• Drilling and gas data management and communicating these values to the drill team and company man on the rig
