I assisted the professor by answering student’s questions during class to make sure everyone was on track with the lesson. I also monitored the lab after hours and provided tutoring to the students taking CATIA and Advanced CATIA classes. The professor was also the structural engineering professor and he relied heavily on me to help his students with their homework and well as helping them operate ANSYS.

To monitor the machine shop after the faculty member in charge goes home and aided fellow engineering students working on various interdisciplinary engineering projects. I learned how each tool in the shop worked so I knew the correct tool for the job and was able to give suggestions on how to make a part easier and cheaper to manufacture. I became very familiar with all of the equipment in the machine shop and many people would come to me for advice on the proper tool for the job as well as how to use the equipment properly.

I have worked here since I was young and think I have received a good work ethic because of this upbringing. At my fathers pharmacies I maintained the dispensing robot, maintained company spending records, and tracked inventory to reduce expenditures. After I turned eighteen I earned my pharmacy technician license and my compounding licence which allowed me to type and fill prescriptions as well as compound custom prescriptions. I got to experience both the working and the managerial sides of a small business to understand both how important it is for the individual to work hard for the success of the company and how to work as a team to get a project done. I learned that the things that motivate, inspire, and reward people are different for everyone and that needs to be considered when working with them. Working in the pharmacy taught me how to react and keep a level head in a high stress environment. Making quick decisions in a timely manner as well as not comprising patient care and customer satisfaction which were always of the utmost importance.
