Oversee and perform planned, corrective, and emergency maintenance on diagnostic x-ray, ultrasound, and other imaging equipment, including laser camera, alternators, simulators, film processors, 1st look nuclear cameras, and dental units. -Perform ongoing planned maintenance and corrective maintenance of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment used throughout the healthcare facility. - Conduct training to radiology clinical and professional staff on proper use and safety of radiology equipment. - Order parts and supplies required for emergency service and repair of radiological and general medical equipment. - Analyze and interpret information provided by clinical staff and equipment to determine operational condition. - Communicate with vendors and users to coordinate repairs. - Assist with planning and installation of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment. - Interface regularly with Biomedical Technicians, Radiology and Ultrasound Directors and staff, nurses, IT, hospital administration, and Process Excellence team members. - Strictly adhere to federal and state regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, FDA, and The Joint Commission standards in safety and quality. - Perform leadership functions by serving as alternate for Director of Clinical Engineering while Director is out.

Under minimum supervision, repair, calibrate, and maintain all types of basic clinical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. Inspect, install, and provide preventive maintenance of general clinical equipment- Document faults and costs associated with any repairs, maintenance and or calibration.- Maintain constant communication with customers regarding any services performed on equipment and assist in minimizing loss of productivity by coordinating internal loaner equipment or alternate means to provide desired service.- Hand picked for a medical monitoring upgrade of our Emergency Department, focusing on a smooth transition with minimal interruption of monitoring service.- Work to identify equipment use errors and address them with follow up training to increase staff confidence in equipment and save money in non repair and maintenance calls.- Often assist Imaging tech to distribute heavy workload and take lead when he is unavailable.- Work to reduce costly repairs by seeking assistance from colleagues within the industry, sourcing parts from alternate vendors, when feasible, and repairing/servicing as much equipment as possible in house.
