Climate Ventures Institute exists to accelerate a low-carbon, regenerative economy, starting in Brazil. Our programs aim to engage leaders from climate, technology, business and finance worlds across sectors to: 1. collaborate and prototype new solutions that can support the development of a new economy, where people and the environment thrive without illegal deforestation and less dependent on fossil fuels;2. leverage new ventures by connecting a pipeline of low-carbon startups and climatechs with incubators, accelerators, investors, funders or financial institutions interested in funding ventures and enterprises of the new economy.3. produce knowledge & advocacy to influence government decisions and public awareness with communication campaigns created in partnership with the world's most respected philanthropic and educational institutions.

Cofundador, Líder de Projetos e Tecnologias Sociais na Aoka. Membro do Presencing Institute (Teoria U), MIT. Graduado em Administração de Empresas e Artes Liberais no Santa Monica College, CA, EUA; e Bacharel em Turismo na Universidade Paulista, SP, BRA. Daniel possui 15 anos de experiência trabalhando com desenvolvimento econômico e cultural de comunidades tradicionais em todo o Brasil. Em 2007, co-fundou a associação sem fins lucrativos ProScience com uma equipe de ecologistas, com o objetivo de incubar e oferecer suporte de gestão para projetos sociais e ambientais no Brasil. Em 2009, co-fundou a Aoka junto com Ricardo Gravina, onde se especializou em projetos de inovação social e desenvolvimento de lideranças, atuando com algumas das maiores corporações, institutos e fundações do Brasil. Desde 2013 Daniel tem atuado no desenvolvimento de Laboratórios de Inovação Social intersetoriais, gerando novas soluções e negócios para os sistemas de Alimentação e Nutrição, Negócios de Impacto e Finanças Sociais e Mudanças Climáticas / Economia de Baixo Carbono. Fluente em português, inglês e espanhol, Daniel possui uma vasta experiência na facilitação de diálogos e condução de workshops colaborativos, construindo pontes e negócios entre pessoas de diferentes culturas, como empresários, executivos, investidores, gestores públicos, empreendedores, agricultores ou povos tradicionais.

The Aoka Learning Journeys are designed to help people better understand the world, to put things in perspective, so they can change it for the better. Every Journey explores a specific theme, from the new trends of Green Economy to the wide concept of Social Innovation. With our own Learning Journey's Methodology, we design experiences to take participants outside of their routine and introduce them to inspirational people who are doing amazing things and building a better future for their communities and for our planet. This mix of different mindsets and cultures together with multisensorial live experiences transform our way of seeing the world, makes us revise concepts and expands our modest understanding of how we relate to the world.
