I am a postgraduate researcher at the University of Liverpool currently investigating the biochemical properties and interactome of LegK4, an L. pnuemophila secreted eukaryotic-like serine/threonine kinase. In the long term, my research aims to contribute to the fight against antimicrobial resistance with the high-throughput screening of existing mammalian kinase inhibitor libraries to target eukaryotic-like bacterial effector kinases. My research project is supervised by Dr. Dom Byrne and forms the majority of credits towards my MRes in Advanced Biological Sciences (Biological Chemistry).
