- Hired and led a team of 30 engineers (BS/MS/PhD) in the design, development, and deployment of a next generation AI/CV driven collaborative robotic arm- Collaborated on pitch deck and raised approximately $7M in venture funding- Negotiated $13M contract with a major manufacturer in Asia - Served as primary mechatronics and software systems architect- Managed cross-functional projects, teams and timelines across all disciplines in the robotics stack, encompassing embedded compute (FPGA and SoC) design, control and power electronics design, mechanical hardware design, custom motor design and sourcing, sensor systems and analog processing, firmware, middleware and communications, application layer and cloud layer software, RTOS, control algorithm development, vision systems (optics and software), internal tools and more- Invented patented technologies including new safety sensors, AI-driven manufacturing robot behaviors, landmark feature navigation and visual waypoint training, visual odometry and calibration methods establishing ground truth, multi-camera world-mapping technologies, and an automatic end-of-arm robot tooling generator- Oversaw pilot deployments and strategic response to customer learnings- Led UX, branding, and industrial design projects- Interfaced with contract manufacturers for mass production and handled sourcing and supply chain management for critical components; lived in southeast Asia for 1+ year learning manufacturing, lean production and developing clients and contacts
