Financial Controller at Phoenix Gas Services Limited.I am a keen and enthusiastic individual who is always striving to be more efficient and effective in everything I do. My Accountancy career started with Burton Beavan, a private practice located in Northwich and Manchester. I was involved in all aspects of practice accounting, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, producing statutory Accounts for Limited Companies/Sole Traders/Partnerships and self assessment tax returns for individuals/partnerships. For the last two years with Burton Beavan, I managed over 100 clients which allowed me to work closely with businesses and individuals in a wide range of business sectors. My main focus was working with technology start-ups and golf clubs/businesses.After my four and half years working within Practice, I joined Phoenix Gas Services in April 2017. Phoenix are a plumbing and heating company who specialise in boiler replacement, boiler repair and boiler servicing across Staffordshire. In the years that I have been at Phoenix, the company has grown 5 fold and so has my team of management accountants and ledger accountants. My role as financial controller has allowed me to be involved in the high level decision making with the directors and senior management within the group to continue to drive the business forward with it's growth.I am ACCA qualified and have a great understanding of reporting softwares, including Xero (Xero certified).And if you’ve managed to read this far, I’m also not a bad golfer.
