I work with people with disabilities in an instructional capacity within a community college setting.I lead discussions and/or lessons on current events, budgeting, public speaking and other topics. My role includes creating PowerPoints and using other instructional tools to help engage students.I work to integrate the students into campus life as appropriate by assisting with inquiries into class audit availabilities — as well as by accompanying them to the Student Union for activities, the Weight Room for exercise, and scheduled campus events to provide support as needed.

I worked with developmentally and/or intellectually disabled adults on developing person-centered life skills in their homes and in the community.I worked with developmentally and/or intellectually disabled children and youth in order to provide respite to families.

I assisted with supervising children, teenagers, and adults with special needs during recreational activities.

This involved writing articles about people and events in Erie, Genesee and Orleans Counties.

Wrote advertisements, articles and blog posts to help further the organization's mission.Researched topics relevant to the field of substance abuse prevention and assisted with positive community events.Taught medicine safety, media literacy and other topics to children and youth.

This involved interviewing and writing articles related to education and the arts in Batavia.I shared articles I write for The Batavian and I reviewed books (mostly children's and young adult books) and movies available at my community's public library.
