At age 4, I was diagnosed with a learning disability which impacted my behavior and ability to make friends. In middle school, my parents bought me a membership to a YMCA. Exercise changed my life by building my confidence and helping me control my outbursts. At 21, I was diagnosed with a mood disorder and autoimmune disease. Fitness became my lifeline and gave me the strength and confidence to take control of my life.
