As the ships Controlled Material PO & Haz-Mat PO I was responsible for the receipt inspection, stowage, handling, and records keeping of all materials/parts requiring a level of QC or Hazardous Controls. The job of Repair Parts PO made me responsible for ordering, receiving, stowage, and inventory of all parts required or potentially required for any type of M-Div work, in addition to drafting all blue prints for parts needing to be machined/manufactured. I maintained & updated our onboard maintenance accountability program as well as equipment, system, repair status & planning logs. I performed >150 QC jobs before completing another 80+ jobs as QA Inspector. After successful completion of the Naval Nuclear training pipeline I was recommended by my superiors & hand chosen by the Squadron Master Chief and the Augusta's M-Div CPO with the intention of drastically improving a much depleted M-Div & sub-standard equipment performance. After only 2 years onboard that worn old 688 Class submarine we achieved just that. As a result of our new high standard of equipment reliability, the Augusta's M-Div was declared best on the waterfront. This title was retained throughout my stay & was attributed to the Division's technical savvy, organization, & work ethic. We could fix anything, anywhere in the world, at anytime, with limited resources & considerably faster than any other boat. Show less
