I believe that science is humanity's greatest achievement and the greatest tool we possess to reverse climate change.As a PhD candidate at the University of California, Berkeley, I am excited to draw inspiration from the evolved machinery in metalloenzymes and replicate their unique chemistry in metal-organic frameworks. Small molecules such as CO2, H2, and O2 play an integral role in climate technologies, and fortunately for us, nature has evolved to utilize these molecules to power life. Therefore, we chemists have much to learn from biology and have even more to contribute to tackling climate change.Having completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge, studying Natural Sciences, I have had the privilege of engaging in research projects on electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, carbon capture and conversion, and battery technology.
