An aspiring BS Mechanical Engineering student at MSOE, graduating in May 2024. As a rising junior, I have internship, co-op, team-based project experience and am also a student athlete for the Men's Varsity Soccer program at MSOE. I have skills in AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, MATLAB, Arduino, and Microsoft Dynamics 360 (ERP System). If I can help your team, please contact me at damatod@msoe.edu.As a goofy, un-honed sophomore in high school, I watched my cousin graduate as a mechanical engineer from Marquette. Inspired by the grinding effort and endeavor I could see behind all of the graduates faces, I realized I too wanted to feel this sense of accomplishment. As I took a look at my own passions in mathematics, environmental study, conservation, sustainability, and athletics, I decided mechanical engineering, having a broad base of of opportunity, was the path for me. Since beginning at MSOE, I have maintained Dean's list honors every quarter while balancing the demands of NCAA level sport. This past spring, I had the great opportunity to co-op with Andis Co. in their product design department. Along with the skills I picked up in AutoCAD and ERP systems, this experience taught me a ton of applied engineering principals that bridged the gap between many topics discussed in my classes. I continued at Andis this summer as a full time intern, and with the trust built, I immediately began working side by side with engineers on a plethora of projects as well as heading my own projects. My time at Andis has allowed me to develop strong communication, project management, and teamwork skills through interaction with my fellow interns, industry professionals, and company executives.
