Product and Application Engineering for compartment latches, door modules, door hinges, window regulators and seatbelts. Primary job responsibilities included customer interface, release of production designs, production and prototype supplier management, engineering change management, problem solving and cost savings activities. 2006 - 2008 Seatbelt Systems - Applications Engineer for the 2008 GMT610 and carry-over GMT 610 and 560 programs.Managed changes for production and customer saleable drawings, including the corresponding BOM maintenance.Coordinated third-party Federal Certification testing and production validation testing.Interfaced with customer to communicate design issues.Participated in the transfer of work to the Mexican Engineering Center. 1997 - 2006 Compartment Latch Group - Customer Contact and Product Engineer for numerous programs.Continuous Improvement Team Leader from 2000-2006 for all compartment latches for GM and Daimler Chrysler. Improved negative financial performance for the product line into an eighteen percent profit.Investigated and resolved quality and warranty issues at the component and vehicle assembly plants.Managed or participated in DFM/DFA and FMEA teams at the vehicle and component assembly levels to assure system reliability.Lead Engineer and PDT Leader for accelerated design programs including the 1999 Corvette/Camaro FMVSS 206 compliant R/C latch, trap resistant rear compartment latch, Pontiac Aztec lift glass latch, and the emergency release rear compartment latch.Received patent and production usage awards for the emergency release rear compartment latch.Lead Product Engineer for the Versamount end gate latch cable assembly. Engineering change to stainless steel cable was quickly implemented into production. Several million parts produced at kick off to be sold for past model years retrofits.

Customer Contact and Product Engineer for numerous programs.Continuous Improvement Engineer for rear compartment latches, door hinges and door modules.Responsible for the 1997 Park Avenue door module window regulator.Responsible for component designs for the 1999 S5S rear compartment latch.Key team member in component level DFM/DFA and FMEA workshops.

Customer Contact and Product Engineer for the manual and electric window regulators on the Saturn S1 program.

Product and Manufacturing Engineer for GM sidewall trim.Resident Engineer at GM for programs including Seville/Eldorado and Grand Prix.Responsibilities included engineering change management (in both GM and Delphi systems) and cradle-to-grave product design through manufacturing engineering for hard and soft trim components.Participated in customer's vehicle level DFM/DFA and FMEA workshops.Resolved numerous fit/finish and quality issues at the component and vehicle assembly plants.

Apply industrial engineering principles in the health care environment. Projects included implementation and development of standards for a productivity monitoring system that spanned many hospital and clinical departments.
