I am a Senior Software Development Manager for GDIT working with a small team that helps upgrade, improve and maintain Think Cultural Health, a project of the Office of Minority Health of the Department of Health and Human Services, and develops PopMedNet, a project for the FDA Sentinel Project, that is co-designed with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. With over 20 years experience in the software industry, I combine a broad understanding of the principles and interrelationship of various software components with an in-depth knowledge of specific key technologies to help many businesses bring about the successful completion of their projects.Previously, I was the Director of Software Development for Lincoln Peak Partners, where PopMedNet was first conceived and developed.My recent interest has been in the application of Agile methodology and Cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) to deliver high-impact, high-quality applications on time at a reasonable cost. The goals are to apply Agile to improve the performance of a tightly integrated development, QA and infrastructure team and to focus on application delivery using PaaS in order to eliminate the platforms as a concern.My background encompasses both *nix and Windows OSes and has worked in both Java and .NET frameworks. I have participated in work on software internationalization and 508 compliance.
