I’m an Assistant Director of the Media team at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) where I assist ministerial offices and the department with media engagement and strategy. This includes working in Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen’s office when required. Before DCCEEW, I was a senior media adviser at the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources and was seconded as acting press secretary to the Minister for Industry and Science Ed Husic. Prior to joining the Australian public service, I was an account manager at Isentia where I managed a team of highly motivated account executives and worked closely with media teams of federal government departments to support with their media monitoring.I interned at Edelman Australia, a top global public relations company, and at the Langham Hotel in Melbourne, Australia as a public relations assistant.I also worked as a student writing mentor and Lead2Change program facilitator while completing master of communications and graduate diploma in public relations at Victoria University in Melbourne. Prior to moving to Australia, I was a public relations and marketing officer at the National Commercial Bank, the largest financial institution in Saudi Arabia, for 4 years, and a freelance writer at GMA 7 Network in the Philippines. I also did volunteer work for non-for-profit organisations which advocate human rights and children's welfare such as Diaspora Action Australia in Melbourne and Bahay Tuluyan and Tuloy Foundation in Manila, Philippines.I am passionate about media, hardworking and always enthusiastic towards opportunities.
