📌 Worked under the supervision of Professor David Liu on MarkUs (Rails, Rspec) (Department of Computer Science’s grading/testing software)📌 Developed multiple web socket solutions including one that enables students to see test feedback in real-time, without refreshing the page📌 Implemented the capability for instructors to apply filters and utilize various sorting options for grading/reviewing graded work, including filtering by grader, total mark, and marking state📌 Integrated a randomized submission selection feature allowing graders to retrieve and view a random student’s unmarked submission

📌 Enhanced MarkUs (the University of Toronto’s internal marking and repository system) under the supervision of professor David Liu by completing a variety of backend refactoring, bug fixes and testing tasks📌 Squashed critical security bug (Action Policy, Rails) that allowed TAs to grade the work of students whom they haven’t been assigned to, learning a new library in the process📌 Expanded test suite (Rspec, YAML, CSV) increasing coverage of certain functionalities by 80%, refactored backend code to maintain good design principles, learned about REST APIs, how to implement C.R.U.D. in rails and Sessions📌 Presented weekly for 12 weeks to peers and professor Liu communicating progress in tasks/technical issues faced and received positive feedback
